Some have mentioned over the course of the project that they were surprised how "produced"-sounding the songs have been, week after week. I've been wanting to make something that sounded more like somebody's concept of a "demo".

The truth is, I have always made very involved "demos" of songs, always pushing the available recording technology I had to its limits. I don't really think much of the idea of "demoing" music anymore - and I certainly don't think that something needs to be "polished" to be good. I'm actually really amazed at things that can seem so rough on the surface but feel so, so RIGHT regardless. I seem to be on something of a less-is-more kick right now.
