about

A song about the horrors of summer camp. The epic of the project thus far.

lyrics

It's dark and murky
I can't see the bottom of the lake
It's too brown and muddy
And I'm used to the clear and chemical blue
Of the pool I left back home

I wanna do a cannonball
I can't, I'm afraid to
What if something's alive in there?
There must be something alive in there
'Cause it's a lake, not a pool
Lake water, hot and cold

I don't want to be here
I don't like sleeping in the woods at night
Sinister creatures all around me, everywhere
Some of them are wearing uniforms

I jumped in the water
(The way the temperature is changing is disconcerting me)

I wish the days would go a little faster
I wish that Saturday would come
Come on Saturday, Saturday please come
Saturday, Saturday won't you hurry up and get here

Momma's gonna get me, yeah my Momma's gonna pick me up
Just gotta hang on, gotta hang on tight

I didn't want to come here
Suck it up, you've gotta build some character
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, is what they say
Or it might just try and kill again

Don't you fall behind
Don't get caught
At the end of the line
